The rapid growth of the urban population in the current era necessitates efficient planning and management of cities in the face of natural and human crises. In the past, disaster management was focused as an action in response to natural disasters, while today, in moving towards smartness, the city's ability to effectively respond to natural disasters is highly dependent on the use of information and communication technology infrastructure. In this article, an attempt is made to examine the concepts and principles of the smart city and its effective aspects in crisis management. The results of the research showed that there are many examples of the use of smart city tools in crisis management, including artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, and blockchain.
